Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. We love because He first loved us 1 John 4:19īe completely humble and gentle be patient, bearing with one another in love. Psalm 127:1a Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. ![]() Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. ![]() John 13:34 įor no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. I thought it would be neat to find scripture that would tie into each room of the home, and serve as a reminder to us that God’s word never fails and is the infrastructure of our own lives (including our home.) I quickly got to work planning out Bible verses for building a home that we could write in each room, and I’m sharing it with all of you in case you find yourself in the midst of a building project and want to include scriptures within your own walls! Entry Doors: So once the framing started going up and the rooms were mapped out, I told my husband that I wanted to write God’s word all throughout our home. Christ is the cornerstone of our faith and our family, and we knew we wanted to honor Him in all things during this build. We pray for and seek God’s guidance as we make big decisions regarding our home every single week. We’ve been praying over our home every step of the way. When we formed our house plans from scratch, we made sure that we had the things we needed, but also things that we really wanted (within reason), too. At just 26 and 27 years old and first time home owners (builders), we’re trying our hardest to make smart financial decisions for our family, but we also knew that building a home would be a one-time deal for us. Last week I made a big announcement that we’ve started our home building project! It’s something we’ve been dreaming of since before we got married, and we feel so truly blessed to watch it all finally unfold. ![]() A Strong Foundation: Bible Verses for Building a Home ![]()
